Your Privacy is Sacred
We're not creepy data collectors. Here's exactly what we do (and don't do) with your information.
For those who don't have time to read legal documents
We collect the bare minimum data needed to make Aurora work amazingly for you. We don't sell your data, we don't spam you, and we definitely don't train AI models to replace you. Your voice data is processed securely and then it's yours to keep. Simple as that.
Account Information
Your email, name, and password. We need this to create your account and let you sign in. Revolutionary concept, we know.
Voice Data
The text you want converted to speech and any voice samples you upload. We process this to give you amazing audio, then it's yours. We don't keep copies to train our models or anything sketchy like that.
Usage Analytics
Basic stuff like how many characters you've processed and which features you use. This helps us make Aurora better and figure out if our servers are about to catch fire.
- ✓We don't sell your data. Ever. Not to advertisers, not to other companies, not even if they offer us a really nice sandwich.
- ✓We don't train AI models on your content. Your voice samples and text are yours. We're not building a Mark clone army.
- ✓We don't spam you. You'll only hear from us when it's actually important or when you ask us to.
- ✓We don't share with law enforcement unless legally required (and we'll fight it if it's unreasonable).
- ✓We don't keep your data forever. When you delete something, it's actually deleted. What a concept!
We use cookies, but not the creepy kind that follow you around the internet. Ours are more like helpful sticky notes:
- Essential cookies: Keep you logged in and remember your preferences
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how Aurora is being used (anonymized data only)
- No advertising cookies: We don't do ads, so we don't need these
You can disable cookies in your browser, but Aurora might not work as smoothly. It's like trying to use a smartphone with oven mitts on.
We take security seriously because data breaches are embarrassing and expensive:
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- We use industry-standard security practices
- Regular security audits and updates
- Limited access to your data (only our core team, and only when necessary)
- Secure data centers with better security than most banks
Data Breach Promise: If we ever have a security incident, we'll tell you within 72 hours. No hiding, no corporate speak, just honest communication about what happened and what we're doing about it.
You have rights, and we actually respect them:
Access Your Data
Want to see what data we have about you? Just ask. We'll send it over in a readable format.
Delete Your Data
Want to leave? We'll miss you, but we'll delete all your data within 30 days.
Correct Your Data
If we got something wrong, let us know and we'll fix it faster than you can say "data protection."
Port Your Data
Want to take your data elsewhere? We'll help you export it in a standard format.
This privacy policy is governed by UK law because that's where Ventryx is based. If you have any complaints about how we handle your data, you can contact the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). But honestly, just email us first at [email protected] - we're much friendlier than government agencies.
We might update this policy occasionally (like when laws change or we add cool new features). When we do, we'll let you know via email and update the date at the bottom of this page.
